What is a credit score?

Generally ranging from 0 to 1,200, a credit score, also known as a credit rating, is a number calculated by a credit bureau, such as Equifax, based on information provided to it by companies such as lenders and utility companies. The higher your score, the better your credit profile, and the more likely you will be able to access credit. City Finance does not set a minimum credit score for approving loan applications; however a low credit score can reduce the likelihood that you are approved on the basis of our multi-factor lending criteria.
